Our Religious Education Office can assist those seeking information on enrollment in our programs leading to First Penance, First Communion and Confirmation. Adults interested in becoming Catholic or seeking to complete the sacraments of initiation are invited to enroll in our RCIA program.

New Families

We ask your help in reaching out new families, families with first graders, and others who should be in PACT/Religious Education Program. Parents of families new to St. Mary’s Religious Education attend an orientation session which is usually held in the Religious Education Office in the school building. Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy for St. Mary’s Religious Education Sessions –

1. If the Dumont school system is closed or closes early because of severe weather, we will cancel our sessions that day.
2. If the Dumont schools are open and we are cancelling sessions, we will call the schools. Usually they will announce closings for us.
3. Check your e-mail, we will try to get e-mails out as soon as we have any closure information.
4. Call the Rel. Ed. office at (201)384-3062. Listen to our voicemail if no one answers your call. We will have the message indicate any cancellation of sessions.
5. In the event that several sessions are cancelled due to severe weather, sessions may be added to the calendar.

If you know that your child is going to be absent on a given day, please call the Religious Education office in advance.
