Thanksgiving Holiday Mass

There will be only one Mass on Thursday Nov. 22nd at 9AM. It’s our parish Thanksgiving Mass. We will bless and distribute loaves of bread for our families to take home and share at their family meal that day.

Advent Giving Tree

With your support and generosity, we will provide gifts to families through the Dumont Department of Human Services and The Nurturing Place (formerly The York Street Project) in Jersey City. Gift tags are now available, and unwrapped gifts must be returned by Monday December 10th.

Altar & Rosary Society Christmas Party

Sunday December 2nd, the annual Christmas party will be held at Madeleine’s Petit Paris in Northvale. The reservation form can be found in the bulletin, and reservations are due by November 20th

International Night

This Friday November 16th will be our celebration of International Night. Tickets are available in the parish office. Details can be found in the bulletin.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Donations for our Thanksgiving baskets are being accepted in the parish office this week. Baskets will be distributed to needy families on Friday November 16th. Details on what is needed can be found in the bulletin.

Upcoming Events

All Saints Day – November 1st
Thursday, November 1, All Saints day is a Holy Day of Obligation. Our Mass schedule is 7AM, 8:45AM and 7:30PM in the upper church. In observance of All Saints Day, the Parish Office
will be closed.

Eucharistic Adoration & Mass – November 2nd
On Friday, November 2nd, we will have Eucharistic Adoration after the 8:45AM Mass in the Upper Church. Since November 2nd is also All Souls Day and we have a Mass at 7:30PM, the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament ends at 6PM. Please consider spending time in prayer and adoration of Jesus. We are inviting the families of those who have been buried from St. Mary’s this past year to the 7:30 P.M. Mass Friday evening. At that liturgy, their loved ones will be mentioned by name in the General Intercessions.

Return to Standard Time on November 4th
We return to Eastern Standard Time at 2AM on Sunday, November 4th. Remember to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday evening, of November 3rd.

A time for Healing – A Reason for Hope on November 7th
Please join the St. Mary’s Parish community as we gather in the wake of the sex abuse scandals for an evening of prayer and dialogue on Wednesday November 7th at 7:30PM in the church. It will be a time to pray together, get the facts and share our feelings.
