Family Shelter Help
The next dates that our parish is scheduled to support the Family Promise Shelter are Wednesday, Nov. 12 and Thursday, Nov. 13. We are responsible for providing the evening meal. We also need 2 people willing to sleep overnite. The overnite people can leave at 6:30 the next morning after the families have left. Anointing Mass – October 18th
On Saturday, Oct. 18, we will gather for our fall Anointing Mass at 11AM in Szelest Hall. If you need a ride to the Anointing Mass, please call the parish office at 201-384-0557 and let us know.
We invite all of our parishioners in need of this sacrament to the wonderful celebration of God’s healing, whether that need is due to sickness or age. For those who wish, there will be an opportunity to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation before Mass. We hope you will be able to join us for a light luncheon following Mass.
Service at the Community Food Bank
On Saturday, October 11th, St. Mary’s will once again volunteer at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside. We will car pool from St. Mary’s, meeting at 7:30AM and return by noon. Consider giving up a Saturday morning to help those in need. Sign-ups in advance are required; contact Deacon John at deaconjohn@stmarysdumont.org. Due to the food bank’s insurance regulations, no one under 12 is permitted in the warehouse.
