Lenten Communal Penance Service set for April 5
We invite our parishioners to come to our Tri-Parish Lenten Communal Penance Service to be held at St. Mary’s on Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m.
The priests of St. Mary’s, Ascension, and St. John’s will be present that afternoon so that those attending the Penance Service will have the opportunity to go to the sacrament of Penance.
Some information on the Catholic sacrament of penance:
“Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion.”
