Update . . .
Updates . . .
There’s just a few hours left – by noon, to reserve a spot at one of the masses this weekend. Call the parish office at 201-384-0557 or email: contactus@stmarysdumont.org
We are limited to 95 in each – upper and lower churches and reservations are required.
On Friday July 3rd, we will have a Holy Hour from 6-7PM in the upper church. The hour will end with Benediction beginning at 7PM. Again, there is a limit of 95 people with appropriate social distancing.
We will be live streaming the 10AM mass on Sunday on both Facebook and our YouTube channel: StMarysDumont
This week’s bulletin and worship aid can be found on the parish website, under Bulletin. For those attending mass this weekend, you may use your smartphone/tablet to follow along since we will not be distributing any paper worship aids.
Sunday Mass Update
As announced last Sunday, we are beginning limited in-person masses this weekend at our regular mass times. Following state guidelines, the Archdiocese has authorized 100 people for each mass. In that we have both an upper and lower church, we have the advantage of being able to stream the mass to the lower church as well. This allows us to have 95 people in the upper church and 95 people in the lower church. For those who attend in the lower church, mass will be via a livestream and we will bring communion downstairs.
In order to attend Mass you must make a reservation by emailing us at contactus@stmarysdumont.org or calling the Parish office by 1PM on Friday June 26th. For this upcoming week, it will be by Thursday at 1PM. You will receive a confirmation of your reserved spot!
Some things for you to be aware of . . .
– Enter the church by way of the propped open side doors (the ones nearest the altar rail)
– Masks must be worn at all times
– There will be no gathering in the church either before or after masses
– There will be no opening, offertory or ending processions
– There will be boxes at the doors to deposit your envelope, or you may schedule electronic giving
– Communion will be distributed row by row, single file — instructions will be given at each mass
We ask that you come prepared with masks and observe all social distancing protocols.
Please, do not make a reservation for Mass if you are in a high risk category, have been exposed to someone with Covid-19 recently, or are feeling ill.
Thank you for following all the guidelines and helping to keep everyone safe. We will continue with these guidelines for the foreseeable future.
We will also continue to live stream the 10AM mass on Sunday via Facebook and YouTube for all who are at home.
Daily Mass Update
The upper church will open for daily masses starting on Monday June 15th at our regular mass times of 7AM and 8:45AM. Please sit only in designated pews and members of the same household (immediate family members) only should sit together. Please avoid the blocked off areas at the center of the pews. The church will remain open following masses until 2PM for personal prayer.
You must use hand sanitizer, available at the doors, when you enter the church and you must wear a face mask. Please minimize the surfaces you touch while in church, use hand sanitizer as you exit and leave nothing behind. The doors will be propped open so that you can avoid touching additional surfaces.
If you are sick or have been in contact with someone who is, please do not visit the church until 14 days have elapsed.
The Archdiocese of Newark has announced protocols for mass attendance. We ask that you view the video linked below.
