Some updates on prayer and confession . . .

As we struggle to get back to some sense of normalcy, the staff of St. Mary’s has found a way to provide the Sacrament of Reconciliation that protects both the priest and the penitent with appropriate social distancing. Please note that our procedure will provide confession face-to-face and will be by appointment only. You do NOT have to provide your name to come for confession.

To arrange a time for confession, please call our emergency cell phone number at 201-696-2819. This is also the number to call if you have any sacramental emergency.

The church will be open for private prayer today, May 17th from 12-3PM. You can enter from the door next to the lift, which is near the rectory.

Please use hand sanitizer upon entering, wear a face mask and keep socially distant. We ask that no groups come to pray together in the church.
Beginning on Monday May 18th, the church will be open daily from 12-2 for private prayer seven days a week.

If you are sick, we ask that you not enter the church and continue to pray from home.

Please continue to pray for us, as we continue to pray for you.

Thank you for your help . . .

Our heartfelt thanks to all who donated food to the Dumont and St. Mary’s food pantries on Saturday May 16th. The cars started lining up at 9:45 and the results were a great indicator of the spirit of those who have, giving to those who need. We will have more details soon, but you stepped up to help your neighbors. Thank you!

Our recent call for help in support of St. Cecelia’s Office of Concern concluded with the collection of over 3,000 diapers and over 1,200 wipes. They were very appreciative of our parish’s efforts.
